4 May 2008. Weather: Fair with scattered showers.

Comix Inc. setup stall in the "charity area" of the Food Fair which included Amnesty International, Refugees International Japan etc. Comix Inc. sold students' own-drawn comics to raise funds for the "YIS One Yen Drive".
.
Proudly occupying a single small table, the new Comix Inc. signage was displayed, together with other home-made promotional posters. On sale was James' new comic release "Star Wars Episode I The Markus Menance". These were sold for 50¥ each. Also on sale were home-drawn laminated "Star War cards" at 10¥ each.
James & David started manning the booth, initially nervous, and slowly gained confidence when they were later joined by Rinze and other friends. Slowly but steadily, a stream of curious teachers, parents and students came by the booth, thumbing through the comics and asking questions like "Did you draw this yourself?" etc.
After setting up stall for about 3 hours, it was mission accomplished! A total of 11 copies of the comics and some 15 laminated cards were sold. Including copies sold earlier this week, a whopping 25 copies was sold in total. With this single comic issue, Comix Inc. managed to raise about 1500¥ for the "One Yen Drive".
Special thanks to the PTSA, teachers, parents and friends for their support and understanding for this very small effort by Comix Inc. to make a difference.
